Greetings from Masters In Training !!!
MIT invites you to attend a 2-day workshop on "Procurement Fraud 2020" -  5th & 6th March, 2020 Mumbai.

This course will provide those involved at any stage of the process for procuring goods and/or services within their organisations with the knowledge and skillset to identify and mitigate the threat posed by the breadth and muli-layered complexity of procurement fraud.

Our International Expert STEVE TOSH, CEO, Global Risk Alliance Ltd
Steve has extensive professional expertise in counter-procurement fraud and corruption and the design of national risk frameworks to combat the impact of revenue loss
. Steve is recognised for his strategic planning, design and implementation of national risk assessments and organisation procurement fraud and corruption risk mitigation in international projects. His most recent role included the management of risk mitigation and loss prevention on a $50 Billion project. He currently advises global entities on risks, trends and profiling of procurement fraud and and its link to organised crime and terrorist financing.

Objective - Fraud and corruption in the procurement function (such as illicit rebates, kickbacks and dubious vendor relationships) are all too common. The reality, unfortunately, is that no organization is immune to fraud and corruption, particularly in its procurement cycle. Procurement fraud is a global phenomenon and it exists in almost every industry, both public and private. Nowadays, when guidance on anti-bribery and corruption becomes commonplace, little effort is paid towards anti-procurement fraud. The main challenge at present is an apparent under-recognition of procurement fraud as a risk, as well as the underestimation about its potential losses, both giving rise to an across-the-board lack of proactive efforts to prevent, detect and mitigate procurement frauds. While the risk can never be fully eliminated, a company can implement controls to reduce the likelihood of these occurring. Such controls need to be well considered and robust enough to be relevant to the ever-evolving modus operandi of how procurement irregularities are committed.

The aim of the workshop is to involve the delegates by active participation, group activities and case studies, etc. Delegates are also requested to bring examples /case studies based on their experience, for discussions.

More details on the workshop, along with agenda and expert details are available here.
