The ban on air travel has left many Indian students stranded in the US

Dipak Rajput, a 22-year-old from Maharashtra had arrived in the US on March 8 to start a one-year hotel management training programme at a hotel in Florida. But in light of the pandemic, the hotel closed down. With nowhere to go, Rajput reached out to the NAAIS who, luckily, could accommodate him at a person's home in Cincinnati, Ohio, who had offered shelter to those in need. Dipak bought a ticket for $140 and flew to Ohio, grateful that domestic flights were cheap. He is now left with $200 and a lot of uncertainty about what comes next.
